Alla scoperta di Kobe - Discovering Kobe

E' stato durante una gita a Kobe che mi sono resa conto che il Giappone non è solo Tokyo o Kyoto, ma può offrire molto di più a chiunque lo visiti, e che meraviglia!

Kobe, per intenderci, a pochi chilometri da Osaka, è la quinta città del Giappone in ordine di grandezza e il numero dei suoi abitanti è di circa 1,5 milioni. Questa bella città giapponese nel 1100 è stata capitale per circa 6 mesi ed è ricca di reperti archeologici che testimoniano insediamenti umani già nel periodo Jomon (dal 10.000 al 300 AC). Fin dall'antichità il suo bellissimo porto fu uno dei più importanti del Giappone e uno dei primi ad iniziare gli scambi commerciali con l'occidente. Kobe è nota soprattutto per essere una città cosmopolita e di questo ha risentito molto la sua architettura che a costruzioni tipicamente giapponesi affianca palazzi in chiaro stile occidentale. La città prese la sua forma definitiva intorno al 1880, ma venne prima bombardata nel 1945 e successivamente subì enormi danni nel 1995 a causa del terremoto conosciuto con il nome di Anshin-Awaji. Oggi questo gioiellino che nel 1889 prese il nome Kobe, dal termine kanbe, antico appellativo dei seguaci del santuario shintoista di Ikuta, uno dei più antichi del Giappone, è una delle città più popolate del paese ed offre molto ai suoi abitanti ed ai turisti. Stranamente questa città orientale così lontana intrattiene un rapporto speciale con la nostra Terni, pare che le due abbiano in comune un particolare modo di sentire S.Valentino e a tal proposito Aurelio De Felice, uno scultore nativo di Terni, ha donato alla città una scultura rappresentante la maternità che è stata posta in uno dei parchi più grandi della cittadina nipponica. Se riusciste a recarvi a Kobe non perdetevi il meglio, ovvero lo splendido porto, la german house, o Jinkan, residenza per stranieri, la torre, il Meriken park, Nunobiki herb park, Sorakuen garden, uno splendido giardino in puro stile giapponese al centro della città, e il suo splendido ponte. Inoltre Kobe è molto famosa per il suo sake, quindi provatelo e soprattutto recatevi al Kiku-Masamune, una sorta di museo del sake dove potrete scoprire tutti i segreti ad esso relativi. Non era mai stata a Kobe e non pensavo che avrei trovato tutte queste meraviglie. Soprattutto è stato bellissimo camminare per la città di notte, immersa nelle mille luci che offre. Se andate in Giappone non sottovalutate questa città e sono sicura che non ve ne pentirete!      

It was during a trip to Kobe, that I realized that Japan is not just Tokyo or Kyoto, but can offer much more to anyone who visits, and what a treat!
Kobe, just to understands, is situated near Osaka, is the fifth largest city in Japan in order of magnitude and the number of its inhabitants is about 1.5 million. This beautiful city was the capital of Japan in 1100 for about 6 months. Today this little gem which in 1889 was named Kobe, from the term Kanbe, ancient name of the followers of Shinto shrine of Ikuta, one of the oldest in Japan, is one of the most populated cities in the country and offers a lot to its residents and tourists. Strangely this eastern city so far from us maintains a special relationship with the italian city of Terni, it seems that the two have in common a particular way of feeling Valentine's Day and in this regard Aurelio De Felice, a sculptor born in Terni, has given to the city a sculpture representing motherhood which was placed in one of the largest parks in the Japanese town. If you could go to Kobe not miss the best: the beautiful harbor, the german house, or Jinkan, a famous residence for foreigners, the tower, the Meriken Park, the Nunobiki herb park, the Sorakuen garden, a typical Japanese-style garden situated in the center of the city, and its beautiful bridge. Kobe is also very famous for his sake, then try it, and than go to the Kiku-Masamune, a sort of museum of sake where you can discover all the secrets of this Japanese wine. I had never been to Kobe and I did not think I would find all these wonders. Above all, it was great walking around the city at night, surrounded by the bright lights that offer. If you go to Japan, do not underestimate this city, you'll enjoy it.
